AI Training & Workshops for Non-Tech Teams

AI Training & Workshops teaches non-technical Malaysian staff to use everyday AI tools well and safely — prompting, tool selection, and a check-before-you-trust habit — in half-day, full-day or bootcamp formats, most of them HRDC claimable. No coding background is required, and the exercises are built around your team's actual work.

The problem

Your team is already using AI — just not well, and not safely

Most Malaysian workplaces did not decide to adopt AI. It arrived anyway: someone in marketing started drafting copy in ChatGPT, someone in admin started summarising meeting notes, and nobody agreed on what was allowed. That leaves an organisation with all of the risk of AI adoption and almost none of the benefit — inconsistent output quality, no shared standard for checking accuracy, and no written rule about what company data should never be pasted into a public tool.

The second problem is uneven skill. One or two people get genuinely fast with AI tools; everyone else tries it once, gets a mediocre answer, and concludes it does not work for their job. The gap is almost never technical ability — it is that nobody taught them how to frame a request, how to give the tool the context it needs, or which tasks are actually worth handing over in the first place.

The third is trust in the wrong direction. Staff either distrust AI entirely and ignore it, or trust it completely and forward its output without checking. Both are expensive. What closes all three gaps is not another tool subscription — it is a structured session that gives the whole team the same mental model, the same prompting habits, the same safe-use rules and the same check-before-you-trust reflex, in one room, at the same time.

Who it's for

FAQ

Common questions about AI Training & Workshops

Do participants need any technical background?

No. This programme is built for non-technical staff — managers, admin, HR, operations and frontline teams. We start from practical, everyday use, not machine learning theory or coding.

Is this HRDC claimable?

Most sessions are HRDC claimable for organisations with an active HRD Corp levy account. We confirm eligibility for your specific organisation and session before you commit.

What format options are available?

Half-day introductory sessions, full-day applied workshops, and multi-day bootcamps. Sessions can be delivered in-house at your premises or through scheduled public training.

What will my team be able to do afterwards?

Participants leave able to use everyday AI tools for their own work — drafting, summarising, research and repetitive-task automation — and understand safe, responsible AI use.

Can non-technical staff follow this training?

Yes — that is who it is built for. The programme is designed for managers, admin, HR, operations and frontline staff with no technical background. It covers practical AI tools, prompting and safe use in day-to-day work, not machine learning theory.

How much does AI training cost?

Fees depend on the programme, the format (half-day or full-day), group size and delivery location, so we quote per session rather than publishing a fixed price. Most programmes are HRDC claimable, which for levy-registered employers can offset a substantial part of the cost — we confirm both the quote and the claim path with you before you commit.

Who delivers the AI training?

HRD-accredited OPERiONPlus trainers deliver every session, led by Ts. Lukas J. Tan, founder of OPERiON and OPERiONPlus and the organiser of PDX, Penang's digitalisation conference. Trainer profiles are on our Trainers page.
